More Funding For Playground Repairs in Summerland

Trout Creek Elementary school in Summerland will finally be able to finish their playground project thanks to provincial funding.
School District 67 were informed at their final regular board meeting of the year that they had been approved for the funding.
$25,000 will help finish the final phase of repairs and improvements to the school playground.
This final round of funding is part of an additional $3.3 million in playground funding provided to 80 schools across the province.
This is the final phase of an $8 million playground funding commitment made by Premier Christy Clark and Education Minster George Abbott.
It brings the total number of schools benefiting from the two year playground funding program to 227 across the province.
