Okanagan Film Commission Welcoming Victoria's Move to Increase Tax Credits
Thu, 2010-02-04 13:20.
The Okanagan Film Commission is welcoming the province's plans to increase tax credits for the TV production sector.
Although legislation hasn't passed yet, Vice-Chair Gerri Logan says the move to increase tax credits from 25 to 33 percent will open doors and lead to a steady increase for 2010.
Logan says it has been a challenge dealing with competition from Ontario and other parts of the world.
She says the local industry is worth millions and millions of dollars.
