Summerland Supports Water For Faulder
The District of Summerland is supporting providing water to Faulder residents.
At the request of the RDOS, council has given the initial approval to provide residents of Faulder with treated domestic water from the Summerland water treatment distribution system.
An open house will be held in early April to give the public info and get feedback before the water connection is made.
The community west of the district's aquifer is declining and the water quality is not up to standards, so an alternative source is needed.
Mayor Janice Perrino calls it a win-win for everyone, since it helps those in Faulder at no cost to the district.
