Last night my wife and I tried out a tasty new recipe in our slow cooker. It's called pizza topping soup and even though I didn't think it tasted like pizza, it was delicious! Here's what you need to know to make it yourself.

1 lb Hot Italian Sausage, casings removed, chopped
2 14oz cans of diced tomatoes with juice
2 cups fresh white mushrooms, chopped
2 cups green pepper, chopped
1 10oz can condensed beef broth
1 cup chopped onion
1 7.5oz can tomato sauce
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
1 tsp cayenne
1 cup part-skim mozza cheese

Scramble-fry sausage for about 8 to 10 minutes until no longer pink. Drain. Transfer to slow cooker.

Add next 10 ingredients. Stir well. Cover. Cook on low for eight to nine hours or high for four to four and a half hours. Makes about 9 cups of soup.

Divide and ladle soup into six bowls. Sprinkle each with cheese.
