"Unprecedented" Avalanche Warning
For the third week in a row, a special avalanche warning has been issued and all of the Okanagan's back country is included.
Karl Klassen with the Canadian Avalanche Centre says the weak layers in the snow pack problem remains, but this time it's worse.
Klassen warns avalanches seen this week are bigger and more destructive in areas including the North Rockies, the Chilcotin Mountains and the Columbia Mountains near the Okanagan.
The warning is in effect until Monday. So far there have been 4 avalanche related fatalities this season.
